Crunchy Onion Pork Chops!

These are absolutely amazing!!! Even picky onion haters will still eat them! my kids swear they don’t like onions (they eat them every day) and even knowing these are coated in fried ones does not bother them. So crispy on the outside, nice and juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. SO simple to make and only takes a few ingredients. The BEST kind of dinner!!

You can use none in or out chips, it really is what you prefer. I like to buy pork loins and cut down into chops. Whichever you choose, do not go super thick with it. You do not want to onions to burns before the chops cook all the way through. You can bake or fry! I fried mine last day and preferred it, as it was more crisp.

Ingredients

4-6 pork chops

1 large pack French’s fried onions, crushed

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp salt

1 tsp black pepper

2 eggs

1/2 cup milk or water 1 1/2 cups flour

1 tbs seasoned salt

1-2 cups oil

Heat a large non stick or iron skillet and oil to medium heat. you want to have about an inch to an inch and a half of oil, you are shallow frying. Add flour and seasoned salt to a dish or pie pan. Add eggs and water/milk to a dish and beat to mix eggs in completely. Add crushed up onions to another dish.

It is easier and less messy if you set up your assembly line near the skillet and in order, flour, egg, onions. Season pork chops with salt, pepper and paprika. Dredge in flour and shake off excess, then into egg and then press into onions making sure to apply some pressure so they really stick. Add to skillet ( in batches of 3) and fry 4-6 minutes per side. Remove to a cooling rack or a plate/baking sheet lined with paper towels.
